The armoring process begins with a thorough evaluation of the client’s needs, giving careful consideration to the type and amount of armoring a particular vehicle will support. Every effort is made to ensure that the style and performance of the vehicle is not compromised by its security features. Rather than offer standardized protection packages, Armortek custom engineers the proper level of ballistic armor to thoroughly satisfy the required level of protection. We manufacture vehicles to all protection levels internationally recognized ballistic standards of the National Institute of Justice, as well as other international standards.

Other protection levels are quoted upon request. When requesting a quotation, it is important to know what type of ballistic attack might be anticipated and the type of munitions a client is interested in stopping.

Armor System: Level III-a (38Cal, 9MM, .357Mag) Protection; Level III (38Cal, 9MM, .357Mag, 44Mag) Protection; Level IV All of the above plus: 7.62 (AK-47, M-14), 5.56 (M-16) Protection. AP Munitions Require Special Quotation. Level IV vehicles must have a GVW of at least 21,000 lbs. The front driver and passenger compartment will be armored to level IV standards and the rear cargo compartment will be armored to level III-A. This is necessary to properly accommodate the additional weight. All Windows, Walls and Doors Armored Gunports (5). Please specify ballistic protection needed when ordering or requesting a quotation. Armor system adds to the structural integrity of the vehicle in case of ram attack or rollover.
Water Cannon System: The water cannon is powered by an independent 50 HP fire pump which is armor protected and can easily be removed for servicing. The cannon is capable of a 360 degree rotation, shooting a powerful jet of water 131 feet. The output is 200 gal. per minute @ 175 PSI. The water tank capacity ranges from 1,321 gallons to 2,400 gallons. The system is operated fully from within the protection of the vehicle by two men. (Driver and Cannon Operator). The reserve tank is easily accessible and can rapidly be refilled.
Dual Water Cannon System: Armortek International, Inc. can design and manufacturer any system on any size vehicle to fit a specific security need or situation. A dual water cannon system on a tandem chassis with a 2,600 gallon capacity is an alternative for extremely large crowd control situations.
Vehicle Effectiveness: The water discharging system is unique and sold only by Armortek International, Inc. The pivotal discharging cannon is a non lethal, highly effective, proven riot control system. The vehicle provides protection for critical buildings such as Embassies, Police Headquarters, Government installations and Defense facilities. It’s rapid response to arson and fire bomb attempts make it an effective fire fighting vehicle as well as a superb riot control vehicle. It’s ability to rapidly disorientate and disperse crowds is extremely effective.
Armortek Options
Battery Armor- Armor plate surrounds the battery, protecting it from gunfire and electrical shorts.
Dual Battery System-A supplemental battery is installed to handle the additional load necessary to power optional systems. This battery may also be configured to act as a back up should the primary battery become disabled.
Electric Shock System- the electric shock system sends a non-lethal shock through the door handle of the vehicle, when an individual tries to grab onto the handle. The system is activated through a switch in the console.
Firewall Protection- The protection is placed behind the steering column, console, all wiring,
heater and air-conditioning. Armor templates are made to contour to all areas of firewall all the way from the overlap of front windshield frame to the tow board. All surfaces are welded solid, ground smooth and all surfaces painted.
Fuel Cell- The vehicles gas tank is filled with foam of an open celled design that prevents the accumulation of fumes. The exterior of the fuel tank is encapsulated in a self sealing coating that prevents leakage of fuel if the tank is penetrated by a bullet.
Grill Lights – 55 Watt brilliant halogen bulb, triple black housing and colored
glass lens. (Amber, Blue or Red)
Hidden Gun ports-Custom designed by Armortek International, these gun ports are not visible from the exterior of the vehicle. Should it become necessary to defend the vehicle with gunfire, simply place gun barrel through the port and fire as normal. The exterior skin of the vehicle is readily penetrated and easily repaired cosmetically. Interior gun port doors are fully armored and spring loaded for automatic closure. Depending on your desired level of protection, any number of return fire gun ports can be installed.
Intercom System- allows for two way communication - from inside to outside of the vehicle. This system eliminates the necessity of compromising your armor system by opening a door or window to communicate with persons outside. This system is easily operated from simple switches located on the dash.
Oil Slick System-This driver-controlled system is simple to operate and extremely effective in forestalling pursuit vehicles. This unique system design by Armortek International, Inc. is commonly added to executive vehicles. When switched on, the system will dispense several gallons of oil to the road surface providing you with one more tool to aid in your protection.
Overlap Protection -Doors and other vulnerable areas between pillars, posts and windows are protected. The areas are retrofitted with a layer of steel, padded and covered with vinyl upholstery.
Ram Bumpers- are installed to reinforce the front and rear of the vehicle from damage caused by impact. The OEM bumpers are removed and retrofitted with reinforcements. The OEM Bumper is installed over the reinforcement returning to the original profile.
Remote Start System-This feature allows you to start the vehicle from a safe distance enabling you to avoid explosive devices attached to your vehicle. The vehicle will start and run for a pre- determined length of time. The range will vary according to conditions such as distance and whether the operator is provided with an unobstructed view of the vehicle.
Operational Windows- roll up and down windows are equipped with a heavy-duty appliance that depending on your vehicle, allow the windows to open between three and five inches.
Safety Rollers/ Run-Flats - These are manufactured from space age composite materials custom designed for your wheel. These safety rollers provide continued mobility of 50 kilometers should your vehicles tires be “blown out”. Tire pressure, balancing, and care for flats with safety rollers is the same as with a standard tire. When the tires are replaced, the safety rollers can be used again.
Screen Radiator Protection-The screen is designed to protect the radiator from rocks and other similar objects which might interfere with its operation. It is not bullet resistant. Bullet resistant radiator protection is also available.
Siren / PA System- Police siren with 100 watt output, and a public address system allowing for one way communication between inside and outside of vehicle.
Tack Dispensing System- Armortek’s own unique and simply and effective design. Driver controlled system by which custom welded tire flattening tacks are expelled from a dispenser under vehicle.
Tail Pipe Protection-A special screen is installed into the tail pipe to prevent foreign objects from being inserted into the pipe. Blocking of the tailpipe can disable the vehicle by preventing the motor from breathing.
Tear Gas System- when activated, this system will envelope the area immediately surrounding the vehicle in a cloud of gas. Dispersing crowds and disabling persistent attackers ensuring road clearance for your escape to a secured location. The system utilizes 4 tear gas canisters which are strategically attached to the undercarriage of the vehicle.
Two-way radio- Police style communication systems are available in your choice of frequencies, and available in handheld or vehicle mounted styles.
